Hand Washing Key to Staying Healthy this Winter

Infection prevention is the name of the game this winter, and it requires the same techniques as preventing seasonal influenza, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  

Protect yourself and others

Hand washing is the first line of defense against germs! Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. 

As as always, if you’re not feeling well:

  • Be thoughtful and stay home from school/work
  • Always cover your mouth when you cough and your nose when you sneeze
  • Disinfect the objects and surfaces you touch.
